On the afternoon of November 28, 2020, the Western Division Finals of the 2020 Lanzhou University Global Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition kicked off at the Xi'an National Digital Publishing Base. Yao Gaomin, chairman of Shaanxi Dade Investment Group, was invited to serve as the deputy head of the evaluation expert group.

At the launching ceremony, the competition organizing committee awarded the plaque to Shaanxi Dade Investment Group, a partner investment institution of the competition; and awarded the plaques to seven entrepreneurial mentors, including Chairman Yao Gaomin, who were appointed by the Western Division of the Lanzhou University 2020 Global Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

In the finals, 12 competition projects and 12 promotion projects brought by Lanzhou alumni from all walks of life appeared one by one, and fierce competition was launched.

At the award ceremony, as an entrepreneurial mentor, Chairman Yao Gaomin commented on the competition and delivered a speech on behalf of the jury panel. Mr.Yao first thanked the Lanzhou University Alumni Association and the Organizing Committee for their invitation, and congratulated the winning project team. Based on his own experience in entrepreneurship and business management, he put forward targeted suggestions for entrepreneurial projects, from maintaining learning, continuous innovation, Steady development and focus on quality four aspects to persuade entrepreneurial alumni, won bursts of applause.

The 2020 Lanzhou University Global Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition takes the theme of “Creating Lanzhou’s Dreams for the Future” as its theme, practicing the concept of “connecting, mutual assistance, and mutual prosperity and symbiosis” between alumni and the university, and providing entrepreneurial alumni with comprehensive policies, capital, and knowledge, human resources and services, build a platform for the interconnection, integration and symbiosis of projects, funds and talents, effectively integrate resources inside and outside the school, accelerate the transformation and industrialization of achievements, and help the school to establish a high-level "dual innovation" service model, help the development of the nation, society and the university.
